Eleanor's Office

You step into the designated office of your host. It's an executive suite, quite like all of yours, save for the fact that it's meant for one person... and it's safe to say that this room has probably seen better days. The room is lit, but the light tends to flicker. The tiling on the floor is cracked, water running through the rifts from a waterfall originating out of a hole in the ceiling in the right corner. Don't worry. It's fine. Eleanor doesn't pay it mind. She's got a desk set up in the middle of it all, with her bed pushed off to the side. She's minding to her own business.
To your left, the wall immediately gives way to long glass windows reinforced with steel to withstand the ocean's crushing depths. Through coral and bio-luminescence, Rapture squats in the distance, like crumbling, electric obelisks.
Make yourself comfortable.

Week 1 Tuesday Evening
Holding an envelope in his hands, he cautiously approaches her desk.]
Good evening, ma'am. I wanted to apologize for my outburst when we first met, it was improper of me and I should not have acted the way I did.
I... I was wondering if you could do a favor for me. It is not a large one, but one that's very vital that I have it done.
no subject
It's alright. The outburst didn't bother me.
[She's remarkably relaxed given the whole, you know, disrepair thing.]
What did you need of me?

...maybe he should just. he doesn't know. try and see if he can kill her and save everyone a lot of trouble, he'll maybe consider that after he assesses the situation. it sounds like she's no slouch but he's not a legatus for nothi--why is her room like this what the fuck]
...
I see your employment has not earned you any creature comforts.

[Pay no mind to the leakage. Eleanor isn't.]
My situation in this hotel is temporary, I believe. And the reconstruction efforts are currently ongoing - there are plenty of worse off areas than this.

[The room itself is actually fairly nice. As nice as the rest. But there's damage, more than just a general wear-and-tear.]
It's not terribly high on the list of refurbishments.

[Brett starts off strong, and is immediately thrown off by the condition of the room! The waterfall, mostly.]
Is that...okay?
no subject
[She's also watching it flow down and disappear between the cracks, like so many things, finding a place to hide.]
Water damage is unfortunately common in this city. It gets cold - pipes burst, you know.

Week One, Monday
She doesn't know if Eleanor knows what her boss knows. That they invited the devil to play their little game. So, she walks in with a coffee in one hand, not as casual as some of the others might have been during their first meeting, but still friendly.]
Good morning, Eleanor. I wanted to have a chat, if you're not busy.
no subject
A chat? Very well... I believe that is what I'm here for, among other things.

Today, or rather, tonight, almost... They remind him of another waterfall, from a day where he ran through one alongside a girl in coke-bottle glasses. Dandy isn't used to his memories being so crystal clear, but he is oddly accustomed to the idea that the Dandy in that specific recollection isn't really him. The one right here and right now, watching Eleanor after he's entered her office, isn't the same as that other guy, but that's okay.
For now, all of that can wait.]
Hey.
You got a minute?
no subject
Eleanor, at the moment, wasn't in her desk. No. Instead, she was seated in a plush chair off to the side, still in her diving suit. Looking, possibly, like she was lost in thought.]
Hm?

Excuse me, Miss Eleanor...? I've not arrived at an inconvenient time, have I?

[It's grim, but there's light in it. Right now, Eleanor's fiddling with the knobs of a radio. It's almost a habit. Sometimes little drones of music make their way through the static. She stops to regard her visitor fully.]
I wasn't busy. Actually, I've been wondering for what to do around here.

Week 2, Backdated to Wendsday Night
Yet he did succeed in finding someone the Undertaker would hate to see threatened with this situation- Or rather, someone he didn't think he'd ever see again.
Othello's hair has gotten a bit more wild since the Undertaker last saw him, but there's no mistaking that recluse from the Forensics division. Now, Othello wouldn't have gone out of his hole if he wasn't sent to investigate something interesting, so there's a good chance his disappearance alone would be enough to raise concerns... If someone here didn't kill, the entire dispatch would be on high alert before long. If someone here did kill...
Oh, there are too many variables to think about. Too many things Fontaine might not be honest about. With so few options available, the Undertaker is forced to seek an audience with Eleanor. ]
I say, aren't you worried about flooding? [ He wonders aloud as he casually regards the waterfall in the corner. A bit of small talk to get her attention. ]
apologies for the wait
The water.]
...It is a little concerning that it hasn't been plugged yet. [She regards him fully after a moment.] I'll need to ask about it, later.

week 3, sunday, like. somewhere afternoonish.
Eleanor-san... yes? Sorry to intrude. Are you busy right now?
apologies about the wait
The wide windows encasing Eleanor's room are naturally the most untouched. Eleanor's seated not at her desk but in a lounger tucked into the corner, her eyes turned to the ocean outside.]
Oh? No. I'm... [She blinks.] I'm not doing anything, just watching the currents.
Week Three, Tuesday Night
Evening, Eleanor.
Hope you're not busy or whatever.
sorry about the late tag
As luck would have it, I'm not. Is there something I can help you with?
week 3, tuesday
[Brett will let himself in when his knock's answered, and move to take a seat. He seems nervous, but then, he's sort of been on-edge generally lately.]
Hey. I'm sorry I haven't been by, lately. [Maybe a weird thing to apologize for, but.] How are you?
[Is that a stupid question? Well, whatever.]
no subject
[She answers quietly. When Brett shows himself in, he'll find Eleanor seated already, head resting in her thickly-gloved hand, rubbing her temple.]
Nursing a headache, I suppose. [But she can set that aside, it seems.] You don't need to apologize for not coming by.
